EDUCATION

Members have the opportunity to regularly participate in the high-quality, moderately priced real estate classes provided by Four Rivers Association of REALTORS®. Our goal is to provide enough real estate coursework over two years to both meet members’ business needs and fulfill many of their continuing education (CE) requirements.

Ethics Requirements

NAR's Board of Directors approved a change to the Code of Ethics training requirement, extending it from every two years to every three years. Learn more about the current cycle by clicking here.

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

Training may be completed through NAR’s online courses or through another method, such as online or classroom courses via local/state associations. Read the consequences [follow this link] of failing to complete Code of Ethics training.

licensing Requirements

While Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® is tasked with tracking and reporting your Code of Ethics compliance with NAR, your state licensing requirements are solely handled by you, the member. We’ve provided some helpful information for you to get started:

    • Your Idaho license is renewed every two years in your birthday month.

    • Must complete all required CE, which is two different “years” of the Commission CORE course (ex., 2020 & 2021 or 2021 & 2022) plus an additional 12 hours of CE.

  • • Residing body: Oregon Real Estate Agency [Click here to visit their website for more info]

    • Your Oregon license is renewed every two years in your birthday month.

    • Oregon mandates that all real estate licensees must take a minimum total of 30 continuing education (CE) hours per renewal period. This includes a 3-hour Law & Rule Required Course.
